Lake Norman Regional Medical Center

In January 2011, The Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Lake Norman celebrated the opening of its new bariatrics suite. The Center not only provides surgical options, but also nutrition counseling and support groups. The Center’s welcoming, spa-like atmosphere puts patients at ease and the design elements are accomodating to all patients. The growth of the bariatrics program is in part due to Dr. Ryan Heider and his staff. Heider, medical director and surgeon for the center, said the reason there are few programs like this is that it’s tough to get hospital management, doctors and staff on the same page. And while the facilities are top notch, it’s the team that matters most. This is certainly true at Lake Norman.
