River Oaks Hospital

River Oaks Hospital opened a state-of-the-art Emergency Department in March 2011 featuring private exam rooms, specialty care rooms and emergency specific imaging services. However, the most unique feature of the new ER is the interactive capabilities of the waiting area, taking the traditional ER to a more modern concept. The waiting area includes touch screen computers, allowing visitors to learn more about River Oaks Hospital including community events and seminars, surgical procedures and access to a physician database. Since the opening, the hospital has also rolled out many unique mobile options including the posting of online wait times, ER wait times texting as well as an ER Extra iPhone app.
