Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center
In September 2010, Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, opened a $2 million, 1,610-square-foot cardiac catheterization suite to meet the community’s demand for elective and emergent catheterizations. With the opening of a third cardiac catheterization suite at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, the hospital is equipped to diagnose blockages and perform life and limb-saving interventional procedures on more patients and more quickly. The new suite uses state-of-the-art Philips FD20 technology to give patients with heart disease a second chance at health. "The demand for doing cardiac procedures in our community has increased so quickly, we made the decision to expand into our third cath suite," Martin Rogers, Heart of Florida's regional director of cardiology services. "As our heart program continues to grow, this additional suite will allow us to continue getting patients in and out for testing and interventions in the most timely fashion possible."
