John M. Starcher, Jr.
Senior Vice President and Eastern Group President
John Starcher serves as a Senior Vice President and the President of the Eastern Group responsible for Health Management's 23 hospitals in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Prior to Health Management, Mr. Starcher was with Catholic Health Partners (CHP) for 13 years, where he served as CEO of the North Division and oversaw more than $2 billion in net revenue at 13 acute care hospitals and dozens of affiliated clinical practices in Ohio. While at CHP, he led acute and post-acute care operations and was instrumental in legal services and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he served at CHP as the CEO of the Eastern and Southern Divisions, CEO of the Northeastern Pennsylvania region and as CHP’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
Mr. Starcher began his health care career in academic medicine, serving in leadership for six years at the Medical College of Ohio, now the University of Toledo Medical Center.
Mr. Starcher has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and a J.D. from the University of Toledo. He holds an active license to practice law in Ohio.
