Physicians Overview

HMA Physicians Health Management has a tradition of providing  quality services to physicians serving on the medical staffs of its hospitals.  Any orientation to Health Management or one of our hospitals includes a commitment to service excellence that incorporates the development and maintenance of the best possible relationships with our medical staffs collectively and individually.

Physician relationships are so important to the leadership of Health Management that we have committed to some key initiatives that demonstrate to all that physician relationships are the centerpiece of
Health Management’s success strategy:

Satisfaction Surveys

Health Management invests in regular satisfaction surveys of the medical staffs of its hospitals, performed by professional survey organizations.  The results are taken very seriously and management compensation plans are driven by the results.  The results are compared to other healthcare organizations across the country so that we can objectively evaluate our performance and define specific methods for improvement.

Leadership Councils

Health Management is committed to the highest quality care and the concept of collaboration with physicians in order to achieve it.  To that end, various leadership councils have been organized and regular meetings are held to provide physicians with a forum to present suggestions for ways that we can collaborate for improved care to patients.  These Councils are driven by physician leadership by market, by region of the country and in some cases by specialty discipline.  Annual meetings are held with leadership from every Health Management market attending during which the results of these activities are presented.

These councils and the initiatives that they drive serve as a significant component of the foundation upon which bases its overall corporate initiatives.

Relations Support Team

Physician relationships are so important to Health Management that we have created a corporate support service dedicated to the provision of oversight of physician relations measurements and activities in the company. This division monitors key indicators of the quality of medical staff relations and staff development, compares them to defined best practice results and sets objectives for improvement thereto.  This activity assures Health Management that medical staff relationships are the best in the business.

Website Initiatives

In order to better serve our patients and the markets that we live and work in, Health Management has launched a company-wide initiative to improve the quality of our websites for each of our hospitals and medical clinics. The primary goal is to provide better support and service for our patients and physicians while ensuring Health Management's leadership position for the use of cutting-edge technology.
