Physician Leadership Councils
HMA believes in gaining input from physicians in its markets relative to the operation not only of the local hospitals but the national policy matters on important topics of interest to physicians and hospitals alike. In order to facilitate this, it has established regional Physician Leadership Councils that meet regularly to discuss important topics of importance. The results of these discussions are recorded quarterly, acted on by management and annually, a meeting of all of the Chiefs of Staffs of the hospitals is held during which reports of these activities are reported. Additionally, key specialties that are currently undergoing significant change due to technology updates, policy change or some other widespread impact have their own leadership councils that report to and update the overall leadership. Reports from these leadership councils are posted on this secure site for members of the medical staffs of all HMA hospitals to view and follow.
