Overview
As HMA continues to expand it's markets and service offerings, the need to effectively communicate with our staffed and employed physicians becomes more critical than ever. In order to strategically manage that communication process, HMA is developing a state-of-the-art physician communication portal that each our physicians are able to log on to and have access to each of the planned features outlined below. This new communication portal is scheduled for launch during the first quarter of 2008.
Practice Management Tips
HMA employs some of the foremost professionals in the field of
Physician Practice Management and engages some of the most renowned
consultants to supply up-to-date tips on practice management via
Physician Security Plus. The areas of Accounts Receivable Management,
EMR selection and transition, coding, contracting, malpractice
insurance/risk management, compliance, federal quality initiatives and
much more are addressed in regularly updated tips posted on this site.
Physician Directory
Physician Security Plus affords physician members access to a complete
list of all medical staff members by specialty, name and location. HMA
is very proud of the medical communities that have been developed in
the communities that we live and work in.
Patient Referral
Physician Security Plus affords physician members the ability to
inter-refer patients to other HMA facilities that may offer services
and physician staff specialties not available in the local community.
Patients often find themselves in or near HMA facilities other than
their home facility and thus local attending physicians can assist in
qualifying physicians in those markets to their patients as they travel
the country.
Physician Forum
Physician Security Plus affords physician members the ability to find,
identify and contact physicians that they may know or wish to contact.
A directory available only among the physicians to provide contact with
one another is provided and available to facilitate this
communication. HMA desires for physicians on the medical staffs of
each and all of its hospitals to have the best possible communication
channels in order to better the quality of medical care through
collaboration.
